Grounding is one of the techniques I talk about in every workshop and with clients where required. It is the foundation of your ability to grow and develop in a healthy manner in Mind Body and Spirit. Without grounding, we feel insecure, restless, like we don’t belong in the presence.
Grounding is a way of anchoring our physical, mental and spiritual selves to Mother Earth. By various techniques, we can achieve the balance of being grounded and being spiritually connected.
Grounding helps in bring our balance into the present time.
Simple Grounding Techniques:
Hug a tree: yes it is that simple. By reaching out and hugging a tree for just a few moments we can ground ourselves physically and spiritually. If you feel embarrassed which we all do initially you can sit underneath or touch the trunk of the tree.
Walk Barefoot: Bring your attention to the Earth. Take a large breath in and as you breathe visualize golden energy traveling up from the Earth into your feet and through your body up to your heart. Take those shoes off in the summer! Enjoy the warm weather and the feeling of sand or grass etc under your feet. It can be done in your own garden as well.
Garden: This can be an indoor or outdoor activity. Just by placing your hands in the soil with planting or pulling weeds, for a few minutes, you can easily reconnect. Or on the beach play with sand and pebbles s as well.
Chakras: Connect to your root chakra: Meditate on the color red.
Eat Greens: These keep us grounded. Broccoli, spinach, root vegetables, etc
Crystals: There are some amazing crystals that ground us. I use Hematite, Selenite, Quartz, Smokey Quartz. But if you don’t have them use the power of visualizing them and let their energies flow into your feet
Anchor: Visualize your feet being anchored to the nearest tree roots. Just thinking that process itself is so beautiful and calming.
Drink Water: As a human body we are composed of nearly 60% water and the water consumption makes us grounded.
Herbal Teas: Helps so well. The aroma, taste, etc helps in bring our focus into the present time. Calming our senses.
5 - 4- 3 - 2 - 1: These techniques use all your senses.

4 things you can feel
3 recognize the sounds you can hear
2 things you can smell
1 thing you can taste.
Touch your feet: That gentle stretches help to let your focus be on your body.
Meditation: Meditations are a great tool to be grounded.
Salt bath: They help us with detoxing and also calming. Salt being an earth element ground us immediately.
Breathe: Breathe deeply and release.. do for a couple of rounds
By picking one of the techniques you are in the process of balancing your physical, emotional, mental and energetic state and reconnecting them. And doing one of the techniques will ground you in around 5 min to 30 min of time. Which is great right.
